Sign inWhat this site records about you
This is a small site run by Aaron (the Captain) for himself and his friends. When you are signed in and on the list, it keeps a record of how you use it, so he can see what gets used, what breaks and what to remove. That's all it's for.
What is recorded
- Who you are: your Google email address, whether you are the Captain, a core user or a friend, and a random code for each sign-in so a visit reads as one visit. It is attached to everything below.
- Pages you open: which page (its address, without any query string), when, whether it loaded and how long it took.
- Things you do: each button or form you submit: which one it was and whether it worked. For the form fields, their names; and their values only for a short fixed list (which games you ticked, an idle-minutes number, which experiment or which music control, a yes/no flag). Never passwords, tokens or anything you typed.
- Your chats with Skippy, only if you allow it: nothing you say to Skippy is kept unless you tick "Allow us to save your questions" under the chat (it is off until you do, and you can untick it any time). With it ticked: what you asked, what Skippy answered, which tools he used and with what arguments. Obvious secrets (API keys, tokens, 'password: …') are scrubbed first.
- Taps on tiles and demos: which tile or demo you tapped and which page it was on, so the Captain can see what gets used and what doesn't.
- Errors: when a page you opened failed.
What is not recorded
- Your IP address or browser details.
- Anything about visitors who aren't signed in, or who signed in with Google but aren't on the list.
- Anything you say to Skippy in the chat, or anything he answers, unless you tick "Allow us to save your questions". What a tool returned to Skippy is never kept, either way.
- The values of server settings, and any password.
Who sees it
Aaron only: on the Activity card of his dashboard, and in the database itself. It isn't shared, sold, or used for advertising, and no one else on the site can see it, including the other friends.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Events wait briefly in the portal's memory (on Google Cloud Run) until Aaron's computer at home (skippy-pc) next collects them, normally within a minute; then they live in a database on his own machines, not with any other company. They are deleted 180 days after they were recorded.
Having it deleted
Ask Aaron (on the Discord server, or however you normally reach him) and he will delete everything recorded under your email address. Asking him to remove you from the site stops any further recording, since it only ever covers signed-in people on the list.
Also worth knowing
- Google Cloud Run, which hosts the portal, keeps its own ordinary request logs, which can include your IP address. This recording doesn't copy them.
- To answer you, Skippy sends your message and the conversation so far to Anthropic (Claude). The portal itself keeps none of it; the conversation lives only in your browser tab.
- Signing in goes through Google, which tells the portal your email address and name.
